Frank R. Cox was elected Chief Judge of the Cobb County Magistrate Court on July 18, 2000 and took office January 1, 2001. He supervises a staff of over 50 people including 14 additional judges. Judge Cox received his B.S. Degree from Georgia State University and his Juris Doctor from Woodrow Wilson College of Law. Prior to being elected Chief Judge, he served as an assistant district attorney for the Cobb Judicial Circuit for 15 years. He was a sole practitioner for 5 years before joining the District Attorney’s staff. Judge Cox and his family reside in Cobb County. He is involved in various civic and professional organizations.
