Judge Joan Vaughan Bloom

Judge Bloom is a full time judge in Cobb County Magistrate Court. She was appointed October 1999.

Judge Bloom graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1984.

Before being appointed as a judge, Bloom was an Assistant District Attorney for 14 years. She handled many high profile cases, and assisted in the prosecution of the nationally publicized death penalty trial against Fred Tokars.

Judge Bloom and her family are members of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. She was elected to the Marietta Kiwanis Club Board of Directors and is a graduate of Leadership Cobb.
